A Community Where Every Day of Life Matters
It is an inescapable fact of life that all of us at one time or another will be a caregiver or need a caregiver.
It is important to support our caregivers. Family and friends who provide day-to-day care for loved ones or patients do so at great physical, emotional and financial cost. Lamar Area Hospice acknowledges their significant contribution and offers help and support through our respite program.
Our in-home respite/companion program coordinates services for caregivers of loved ones sixty years of age or older, as well as companion services to the independent elderly sixty years of age or older.
This grant-funded program, which we call Helping Hands, has been well received and is a much needed service for the senior population. For more information call us 719-336-2100.
