A Community Where Every Day of Life Matters

You can honor and remember birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, retirements or any other significant milestone by making a donation. It is a perfect opportunity to honor and recognize a special person or a special occasion.

Often times, when a loved one passes, families designate Lamar Area Hospice as the charity of their choice. Making a donation in their memory is a meaningful and lasting way to honor and pay tribute to them. All donations are listed in the Hospice Newsletter.

You can make a donation at anytime. We have made it easy for you. There is an icon located on each web page that will take you directly to our donation page. You can also send in your donation to P.O. Box 843, Lamar, CO 81052.

Each December you have an opportunity to honor loved ones during the Holiday of Lights and Memories as we light the windmill on Main Street in honor of those that we have loved and lost.

There are several events throughout the year that give you the opportunity to give to hospice:

The lovely Weltha Plummer Memorial Patio Garden is on the first floor of Lamar Area Hospice. The room is ideal for our We Honor Veterans Campaign and receptions, family gatherings, and memorial services. A wall in the Patio Garden has been transformed into a custom Wall of Memories, where tiles are inscribed with lasting memories, joyful tributes, and fond farewells in remembrance or in celebration of loved ones. The Wall of Memories is a fitting tribute to those we have loved and lost and a perfect opportunity to honor someone in a meaningful and lasting way. With a gift of $200 a 4" by 8" Memory Tile will be engraved with the name of your loved one. The tile will be placed on the Wall of Memories in permanent recognition of your loved one. To order a Memory Tile please pick up and complete an order form from the office or call Lamar Area Hospice at 719-336-2100.

We will hold a dedication ceremony each year to celebrate the placement of new tiles.

The Dinner and Dance is an annual event held during the summer with a live band, great food and incredible auction items. There is both a silent and live auction.
